history:George was born into a pretty average family. He was born right outside Seattle, in a smaller town. Growing up he was pretty different from most of his family. His brothers were into hunting turkeys and talking about cars like their father and he wasn't. He was more into school and books and got along better with his mother. He was the quiet child. His parents never expected him to do anything rash as he had always been levelheaded though onetime he had hit a a boy neighbor in the head with a stick for teasing him. Later the boys father confronted his own father and Harold asked him he had hit the kid and he had lied because he knew he could get away with it.

In high school he was also different, labeled more a nerd than anything else. He was a mathlete, also he lead a dungeons and dragons club and other things that might label him as such. He also grew up watching a lot of different medical shows some dramas and some real medical show on The Discovery Chanel which sparked his interest in medicine in the first place.

He eventually went off to college and studied pre-med before getting into med school, he may not have been the top student but he got in at Oregon Health and Science University, he did his best and he got a place in the internship program at Seattle Grace.

On one of his first surgeries, he was to assist in he almost killed the guy when he lost his nerve and it earned him the nickname 007 which means license to kill and he also had secret feelings toward Meredith whom he had moved in with. Which wasn't so secret to everyone else but Meredith. He also dated a nurse, Olivia who gave him syphilis from sleeping with Alex.

He eventually tells Meredith how they feel. He tells her he will never leave he and he will always be there and they end up sleeping together but she starts crying during sex and he storms out. Their friendship is strained and when they confront each other in front of their friends he ends up falling down the stairs and dislocating his shoulder where he meets Callie Torres, whom he eventually starts dating.

George was also there when Bailey had gone into labor and wouldn't go through with out her husband who had been shot he took her and told her was there for her and helped her through the delivery, Bailey partially named her son after him. Later George helps Izzie with Denny as she cuts the LVAD wire, along with the other interns.

George's father comes to the hospital and he finds out he has esophageal cancer and a leaking aortic valve. He also learns about Burke's hand that had happened on a camping trip and ask for Dr. Hahn to operate on his father. When his father seems to be doing well, with working kidneys he gets exited with Callie and kisses her. Eventually his father dies from complications. He and Cristina share a moment even though he had been angry with her because of the Burke thing. She tells him she's sorry he had to join the dead dads club.

After his fathers death he and Callie have a lot of sex and she can't take it and she tells him but he tells her he loves her and on impulse they get married in Las Vegas.

He later finds out she is a loaded heiress and gets angry she never told him, he talks to Izzie and Meredith about it and Callie gets jealous and upset and kicks him out. He and Izzie get drunk and sleep together. He doesn't remember but Izzie does and claims she is in love with him and tells them they had sex with each other. Eventually he does remember and doesn't know what to do about Callie.

Confused on who he should be with he puts in to transfer to Mercy West and Izzie tells him she felt nothing during their sex, even though she is lying. She eventually tells George she loves him to get him to stay and he finds out he failed his intern exam. He eventually meets Lexi Grey Meredith's half sister a new intern. He decided to do the internship over again with her and they become friends. Later he tells Callie he slept with Izzie, she doesn't really forgive him so he moves back in with Meredith, sharing a room with Izzie.

Later, George finds out he failed his intern exam by one point and had 14 letters of recommendation and confronts the chief who lets him retake his intern exam. He is so exited he kisses Lexi Grey who has a crush on him and eventually falls for him.

Lexi helps him study for his exam and he passes but sort of ditches Lexi to go celebrate with his old friends.

George doesn't take Lexi as an intern and takes others instead which had upset Lexi and she tells him off. George also started to develop a crush on Cristine Warner who was his resident when he repeated his intern year.

He and Cris spent a lot of time together and his feelings grow stronger more and more. He also was the first to notice Izzie's symptoms and tried to confront her but she pushed him away and he finds out later through Bailey about the cancer and that Izzie had went to Cristina with it. Which made him resent her in some way but eventually Callie tells him to forgive her and be there for her while he can. He eventually helped walk Izzie down the aisle when she had gotten married to Alex.

Later a new attending comes to the hospital who was in the army and he takes a liking to George and becomes his mentor, named Owen Hunt. He is now debating on whether to tell Cris how he feels about her but is scared it will end up like Merideth.

George had clinic duty, well it was supposed to more like a punishment. He had pretty much pissed Bailey off and she had gotten rid of him. It was better than doing scut work then again this was kind of like that. Oh, well he would just have to try not piss off Bailey again, which was hard sometimes she had a temper sometimes and it wasn't good to push her buttons.

He didn't mind working in the clinic really he didn't but now he was missing out on surgeries, well possible surgeries there wasn't any right now but that didn't mean there couldn't be. Who knew who would come rushing into the ER only to have surgery. “Stupid Bailey” he muttered to himself he really need ed to work on not pissing off people who were higher than he was.

It was boring in the clinic boring. Nothing fun was coming out of it. Nothing but the mundane. People came in with minor things like a cough, or something trivial like that. If Cristina were here she would probably hope for a collapsed lung or for someone to just start bleeding so they would need surgeries. It was sick really, Cristina was sick who wished that upon someone. Though it was better than sitting here doing nothing of use. Wait was he starting to think like Cristina? No, he just needed something to do, it was only for one day anyway then he could go back to the OR and be on with his interesting life, unlike how it was right now, boring.

George was on his way to see another patient. A man who wanted some antibiotics for a cold since he wouldn't afford them elsewhere. It was nice they could do that for people, thanks to Izzie, well Denny but mainly Izzie. She had inherited 8.7 million dollars from Denny Duquette. He had actually been the one to find out. He and Izzie were sitting on the couch when he had opened the checked it had been pretty shocking. He and Izzie had been a lot of things, but right now they were distant. He knew he shouldn't be but part of him was upset the other part scared. He couldn't avoid her forever he just didn't know what to say. He wished he knew he wished she would have told him she was sick. Part of him resented her for that and he knew he shouldn't but he did.

George opened the door, to the room he thought the patient was in. When he opened it he found none other than Izzie in there. “Oh uh...um” He said pausing. “I..what are you doing..I mean shouldn't you be in bed....and why are you wearing scrubs!? Does Alex know you are wearing scrubs cause you are wearing scrubs! And...I don't think it's a very good idea to be wearing them...” George started. He tended to babble a lot. He was also a bit taken back. It was just his luck really to run into Izzie when he was just thinking about her.
